GED® Testing Fees

As of July 1, 2024, the fee for each section of the GED is $38.

The total fee for all sections of the GED is $152.

GED® Test Information

The computer-based GED® test allows students to:

  • Register and schedule the test online from the comforts of home;
  • Finish one section at a time and move on; set your own pace;
  • Type the essay (versus hand-write the essay).

GED® Site Information

  • Testing set up: 4 modules
  • Reasoning through language arts
  • Mathematical reasoning
  • Science
  • Social studies

Florida Retake Policy

  • *No set limit on # of retakes per calendar year. There is a 60-day waiting period before 4th attempt and each attempt thereafter.

GED® Eligibility Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Not currently enrolled in high school.
  • Did not graduate from an accredited high school.
